The 1986 Kansas Jayhawks NCAA "Big-8" Champions reached the Final Four, finishing with a record of 35-4. Their 35 wins in a season stood as a Jayhawk record until 2008, when Kansas finished 37-3 and won the title. The ’86 Jayhawks, coached by Larry Brown, were: Danny Manning, Ron Kellogg, Calvin Thompson, Greg Dreiling, Cedric Hunter, Archie Marshall, Mark Turgeon, Chris Piper, Jerry Johnson, Scooter Barry, Rodney Hull, Altonio Campbell, Monte Mathis, & Jeff Johnson.
Up for auction is a very scarce, authentic 1986 Kansas Jayhawks "Big-8 / Final Four" NCAA Basketball 10K Gold Ring. This ring was only produced for the players, coaches, & a select few at the university, so this is an extremely rare, piece of Jayhawk history. This genuine Balfour (Stamped LGB 10K) ring is a size 8.75-9 and weighs 37.2 grams of solid 10K yellow gold.
