Jones was a defensive back for the Alabama Crimson Tide during one of the most dominant eras of the program under legendary head coach Nick Saban. During the 2012 season, Alabama finished 13-1, capturing the SEC Championshipbefore going on to defeat Notre Dame 42-14 in the BCS National Championship Game, securing the program's 15th national title. The Crimson Tide defense was once again among the best in the nation, continuing the program's dynasty during the early 2010s.
