2016 Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Championship Ring (Luxury Suite Owner/Family)
Labeled by ESPN as the "most tortured sports city," Cleveland's decades-long championship drought was finally broken in 2016 when hometown hero LeBron James carried the Cavaliers-and the city itself-on his back to a dramatic NBA Finals victory over the record-setting 73-9 Golden State Warriors. The Cavs' historic comeback from a 3-1 deficit culminated in Game Seven, where James' legendary performance is still regarded as one of the finest of his career.
Presented here is a spectacular 2016 Cavaliers Championship Ring, issued at the Luxury Suite Owner/Family level. This is a better-than-"B" level example, numbered "10/52," though the manufacturer states that only sixteen were actually ordered. While most rings of this level were crafted from base metal with imitation stones, this one is a true 10K white and yellow gold ring set with genuine diamonds.
The face showcases "WORLD CHAMPIONS" in raised yellow gold lettering, set against a diamond-encrusted backdrop, with the iconic team "C" logo and the Larry O'Brien Trophy at center. The left shank depicts the Cleveland skyline in white gold, while the right shank bears the recipient's surname above "2016" and the outline of Ohio. Inside the band sits a relief of the state of Ohio, inset with a diamond at its center.
A particularly striking feature appears along the underside of the band: seven inset stones-diamonds for the team's losses and rubies for each victory-symbolizing the Cavaliers' remarkable Finals run.
Maker's hallmark "Baron" and a "10K" gold stamp accompany the limited-edition numbering on the interior. The ring measures to a size 13, weighs an impressive 101 grams, and shows only minimal evidence of wear. Accompanied by its original wood and glass display case.
