In December of 1972, the launch of Apollo 17 marked the 11th and final manned mission in the American Apollo space program. To this day, this mission remains the most recent manned moon landing.

This matted "Blue Marble" photograph taken of earth on the way to moon measures 20x16" and is signed on the matte in 7.5/10 pen by the three crew members, Gene Cerman, Ron Evans and Harrison Schmitt. On the matte across the top is printed "Best Wishes to John Nail from the crew of Apollo 17." The photo is in good condition with a little discoloring from age.

Apollo 17 was the eleventh and final manned mission in the Apollo space program. Launched on Dec. 7, 1972, w/a three member crew consisting of Commander Eugene Cernan, Command Module Pilot Ronald Evans, and Lunar Module Pilot Harrison Schmitt. Apollo 17 remains the most recent manned Moon landing.

The "Blue Marble" is an image of Earth taken on December 7, 1972, from a distance of about 29,000 kilometers from the planet's surface. It was taken by the crew of the Apollo 17 spacecraft on its way to the Moon, and is one of the most reproduced images in history.
