2003 MLB American League All-Star Game Ring – Chicago

An extremely rare 2003 Major League Baseball American League All-Star Game ring, commemorating the 74th MLB All-Star Game played on July 15, 2003 at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, home of the Chicago White Sox.

The face features “ALL STAR 2003 CHICAGO” surrounding a black center stone set with a single brilliant-cut simulated diamond/CZ. One shank displays the official 2003 MLB All-Star Game Chicago logo, while the opposite shank features the American League emblem, identifying this as the American League version of the ring.

The 2003 Midsummer Classic was particularly historic. For the first time, the league winning the All-Star Game earned home-field advantage in the World Series. The American League rallied from a late deficit to defeat the National League 7–6, with Hank Blalock's two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth providing the winning runs. Garret Anderson of the Anaheim Angels was named the game's MVP.
