This incredibly rare 1902 Yale Bulldogs College Football "National Champions" 10K Gold Pendant / Fob is not only the oldest known National Championship award to exist, but was presented to Head-Coach Joseph Swan! A truly amazing find from 115-years-ago!!!

Joseph Rockwell Swan played end on the Yale's fabled 1900 football team that went undefeated, and upon graduation in 1901, Swan was named Head-Coach of the Bulldogs. He promptly led Yale to a 11-0-1 record, outscoring their opponents by an astonishing 286-to-22 and were recognized as the College National Champions!

This solid 10K GOLD charm was awarded to Coach J.R. Swan at the conclusion of Yale's spectacular 1902 Championship Season., and is unusually large for it's time period. The football shaped charm records the scores of Yales important wins (Over Princeton and Harvard) along with "1902 Champions" and "J.R. Swan - Field Coach" engraved on the surface.

Early Ivy League football pieces are exceptionally scarce, and this beautifully engraved charm is in excellent condition, especially considering that it's 115-years-old. This is a highly sought-after piece-of-history from Yale's turn-of-the-century gridiron glory years!!!
