1980 Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship Ring - Presented to Legendary Comedian Don Rickles

The 1980 Philadelphia Eagles finished the season with an impressive 12-4 record, capturing the NFC East title for the first time in franchise history since the division's formation. Under the leadership of head coach Dick Vermeil, it marked the Eagles third consecutive playoff appearance and their most successful season of the era. After dispatching the Vikings in the Divisional Round (31-16) and shutting down their longtime rivals, the Cowboys, in the NFC Championship (20-7), the Eagles advanced to Super Bowl XV, where they ultimately fell to the Oakland Raiders.

Offered here is an extraordinary piece of NFL and entertainment history: a 1980 Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship ring that was custom-made for iconic stand-up comedian and actor Don Rickles. Eagles owner Leonard Tose, known for his flamboyant style and deep Hollywood connections, was a close personal friend of Rickles and had this special ring created in his honor.

Crafted in 10-karat yellow gold by Jostens, the ring features a majestic eagle clutching a diamond-studded football, set atop a vibrant green stone. Surrounding the face are the raised words: "PHILADELPHIA EAGLES N.F.C. CHAMPIONS."

The left shank displays "SUPER BOWL XV," the Lombardi Trophy, and the year 1980. The right shank is personalized with "RICKLES", the score of the NFC Championship Game, an Eagles helmet, and another "1980" engraving. Inside the band is stamped with both the "10K" gold hallmark and the Jostens maker's mark.

This custom presentation ring measures to a size 9.0, weighs 43.8 grams, and remains in exceptional, near-pristine condition, showing very minimal, if any, signs of wear. It stands as a rare and unique crossover between professional football history and classic American entertainment-an ideal acquisition for collectors of championship jewelry, Eagles memorabilia, or celebrity-owned artifacts.
