The 1981 MLB All-Star Game, played in front of 72,086 fans in Cleveland Stadium, was one of the best in the game's history. With the American League ahead, 4-3, Mike Schmidt hit a two-run home run off of Rollie Fingers in the 8th inning. That would be the last scoring in the game, as the National League went on to win 5-4. Gary Carter, who hit two homers, won the Most Valuable Player Award. This Great Looking, 1981 MLB "All-Star Game" Ring is manufactured by Balfour (Stamped Balfour Celestrium) and is approximately a size 10 and weighs 30.4 grams. The ring is in near mint condition with a few light dings or scratches. it belonged to Howard Kaplan of Masters of Design. It was used for quality comparisons to the rings he produced.
