1998 American League MLB All-Star Game Ring – Jostens
The 1998 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was played on July 7, 1998 at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado and featured one of the most loaded collections of talent of the era. The rosters included Ken Griffey Jr., Cal Ripken Jr., Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Roberto Alomar, Tony Gwynn, Barry Bonds, Greg Maddux, Chipper Jones, Mike Piazza and Larry Walker, among many others.
Playing at hitter-friendly Coors Field, the two teams combined for an incredible 21 runs and 31 hits, with the American League defeating the National League 13–8. The 21 combined runs made it the highest-scoring All-Star Game in MLB history.
Roberto Alomar earned MVP honors after going 3-for-4 with a home run, helping lead the American League's offensive attack. Alex Rodriguez and Barry Bonds also homered in the game.
