2011 Alabama Crimson Tide National Champions Ring – Scott Urbantke

Outstanding 2011 Alabama Crimson Tide National Champions ring presented to Scott Urbantke, Director of Athletic Grounds and Facilities at the University of Alabama.

The 2011 Crimson Tide finished the season with an outstanding 12-1 record under head coach Nick Saban. Alabama's only loss came in a 9-6 overtime battle against No. 1 LSU during the regular season, setting up a highly anticipated rematch in the BCS National Championship Game.

On January 9, 2012, Alabama faced undefeated LSU at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans and delivered one of the most dominant defensive performances in championship-game history. The Crimson Tide shut out LSU 21-0, holding the Tigers to only 92 total yards and five first downs.

The victory secured Alabama's 2011 National Championship, its second national title in three seasons under Saban, and further established the Crimson Tide as the dominant program of the era.

The ring is a size 15+ and weighs 53.1 grams, it is manufactured by Balfour & is stamped BALFOUR GT, (Gold Tone Celestrium). Scott Urbantke is personally engraved in script inside the ring.

Alabama's defense was historically dominant throughout the season, allowing just 8.2 points per game. The championship roster featured numerous future NFL standouts, including Trent Richardson, Dont'a Hightower, Mark Barron, Dre Kirkpatrick, Courtney Upshaw, C.J. Mosley and AJ McCarron.
