This beautiful, and quite rare 1963 New York Yankees World Series "American League" Champions 14K Gold Ring has all genuine sapphires, and is in just pristine condition ....issued almost 50-years-ago!
Manufactured by the world renown - Balfour Co., who has produced all of the N.Y. Yankees Championship Rings since 1951 ....It's stamped with an early vintage, 1964 Balfour markings, and the initials "JD" engraved inside. This is the same ring that Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Elston Howard, Whitey Ford, & Jim Bouton received! The Yanks had an incredible record of 104-57 this year, but unfortunately were swept by the great pitching of the Los Angeles Dodgers! We were fortunate enough, to purchase this scarce ring from a retired Balfour executive a few years ago, who said that this ring was sent in to be re-sized, but Balfour kept the original, being this one, and produced a brand new ring. This ring just sat in the vault at the Balfour plant, for over 25-years. We don't know who it belonged to .....perhaps Joe DiMaggio (?), who would be affiliated with the club in many different capacities, since retiring after the 1951 season. Who else would be "
