The Tigers won their 2nd consecutive A.L. Central Division Championship in 2012 the 1st time they have been "Back-to-Back" Division Titles since 1934-1935. Detroit went-on to play the tough, resilient Oakland A's, beating them 3-games-to-2, in the ALDS. The Tigers completely over-powered the New York Yankees in the ALCS, easily sweeping the "Bronx Bombers" 4-games-to-0, to claim their 2nd American League Pennant in 7-years.
