Bo Jackson stole the show in the 1989 major league baseball all star game played on July 11 at Anaheim Angels Stadium. Jackson blasted a lead off homerun in the bottom of the first inning and later added a single and a stolen base, while finishing with two runs batted it in. He would go on to be named Most Valuable Player of the game, won by the American League, 5 to 3 Nolan Ryan picked up the victory, pitching two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.
