An extremely rare 1988 Los Angeles Lakers "Team-of-the-Decade" NBA Champions 10K Gold Ring!
This scarce 10K Gold Championship Ring was only offered to the Lakers Season Ticket Holders (for purchase) and select executives in the front office, to commemorate the amazing L.A. Lakers dominance in the 80's! It is approximately a size 11 and weighs 23.7 grams. The ring is in great used condition with some light signs of wear.
It all started with the 1979-80 season, with a *rookie* named "Magic" Johnson, along with "The Captain" The great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, under Head-Coach Paul Westhead for one NBA Championship, then the legendary Pat Riley as their head-coach for the the remaining four! Beside greats - Kareem Abdul Jabbar & Magic Johnson, there were the likes of Norm Nixon, James Worthy, Jamaal Wilkes Michael Cooper, Kurt Rambis, Bob McAdoo, Mitch Kupchak, Byron, Scott, A.C. Green, Mychal Thompson, just to name a few!!
L.A. was a powerhouse in the 80's, finishing in 1st Place every single season in the Pacific Division, except for just one (1980-81). Winning 5-NBA Championship: 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988!
